Visual Impairment:
The Calhoun Library, Decatur Campus, has a 20 inch
monitor with screen enhancement software and voice recognition to
assist the visually impaired in using the World Wide Web and
licensed, online library databases. When you plan to use
the workstation for the first time, please call ahead and schedule a
time with the Information Services Librarian (256-306-2777) to
assist you in using it.
A VTEK Voyager XL Video Magnifier with a
19 inch monitor is available in the library for reading print. The
magnification range is 4x to 60x.
Individuals in the community who have
a visual impairment which requires the services offered are invited
to use the Library Workstation. Call the Circulation Desk at (256)
